2017 - 2018 Withlacoochee Chapter SAR Americanism Poster Contest Winners
The First-place winner at the Chapter level of the 2018 SAR Americanism Elementary School Poster Contest was 5th grade student Sylvia Underwood of the Floral City Elementary School. Sylvia was presented with the 1st Place Award Certificate of Outstanding Citizenship Recognition and a cash prize of $100. At a recent ceremony at the Hernando Elementary School, the 2nd Place award winner of the SAR Elementary School Americanism Poster Contest, 4th grade student Trey Picard, was presented the 2nd place cash prize of $75 and recognition certificate. In addition, a framed copy of the Declaration of Independence of the United States, was accepted by Mr. Chris Bosse, school principal, on behalf of the Hernando School. The Third-place winner at the Chapter level of the 2017- 2018 SAR Americanism Elementary School Poster Contest was 4th grade student Syver Lathrop of the Homosassa Elementary School. Syver was presented with the 3rd Award Certificate of Outstanding Citizen Recognition and a cash prize of $50.
